Technology and Environment.Raptors Iberia is an application designed for Android mobile phones to become a quick identification guide for all the birds of prey, diurnal and nocturnal, that can usually be seen in the Iberian Peninsula, the Balearic Islands and the Canary Islands.In subsequent developments it is planned to include Ceuta and Melilla.
Likewise, it is also working on its use for iOS-based phones (Apple).ATTENTION.- Due to the many pictures of birds included and the conditioning of the information limit to be included in the app, this guide is only optimized for viewing on Android phones and NOT on TABLETS.
In them it will be seen but with low quality.
We have also verified that on some phones, from a 6" screen, the drawings may lose quality.This is a quick visual reading guide, based on plates with drawings of the birds and symbols, so you will hardly find any text.The images show the males, females and young of the year of each of the species, perched and in flight.
In certain characteristic species, significant developmental plumages are also shown until the specimens reach the adult phase.And in a quick read you will find a lot of other information, such as their updated geographical distribution, the habitats where it is common to observe the species, the time of year, their size and wingspan, the supports where they breed, their prey...Likewise, we have included a kind of orientation sub-guide with some characteristic feathers of each species that, likewise, help to identify possible remains found in Nature.
Despite its simplicity, Rapaces Iberia includes more than 250 original drawings.The application does not need any internet connection to use it.Even when it is not necessary, to enjoy the most correct visualization it is recommended to download the "Mit2 app inventor" application that you will find free to use in the Google Play Store.We hope that it will be very useful in your field days and that it will be pleasant to use.
